FLASHBACK TO AUGUST 2009 IN NBFC HISTORY - FROM THE E-NEWS VAULT
Britany Sparrow is now the NB Film Co-op's Vice-Prez which is stellar, and she has come a long way creatively since she first joined and became involved with the organization. Not only is she a terrific filmmaker, she is an amazing volunteer. Brit helps out the Film Co-op in so many different ways (Silver Wave HR co-lead, crewing and mentoring on productions, teaching workshops etc...). To honour her, the NBFC has cracked open the NBFC E-News Vault to look back in time on a project that is very dear to the organization as it is a Short Film Venture film and it was shot on film stock. The NB Film Co-op is very dedicated to keeping shooting on film alive in this modern world of ever changing technology. Kudos to Brit for her help in that goal. Drum roll please as we head back to 2009! Oh, by the way, Britany will be marrying her sound man Rob Gemmell, who is also a Co-op member, in late September, another drum roll please!
After long days of shooting, long nights of editing, and a lot of work and play, The Morning After is finally ready to make its world premiere. Directed by Fredericton filmmaker Britany Sparrow, the Short Film Venture film will be one of the Atlantic Short Films showing at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax. This is Britany's second film, and her first film premiering at the AFF.
"I'm really excited that my film is going to be showing at the same festival as the new Trailer Park Boys movie! I'm so grateful for all the work put in by my cast and crew, and I'm so proud of what we've accomplished together."
Britany will be making the trip to Halifax along with her two trusty soundmen to promote the film. The Atlantic Film Festival runs September 17-26 in 2009.
Britany hopes to also have her film screened at the SWFF 09 film festival.

Synopsis
For Jeff, everything is going according to plan. He's got the right courses, he's got the right friends, and he's got the right girlfriend. But his carefully planned life is turned upside down after a night of drinking and he wakes up to discover that he has no recollection of what happened the night before... And neither does the mystery woman he finds in his dormroom.
