Nov. 17- Cinema Politica screens: "Facism Inc."
"Facism Inc." (A. Chatzistefanou / Co-production / 2014 / 74min.) screens on Friday, Nov.17 at 7:00pm at Conserver House, 180 Saint John St., Fredericton.
This timely film is presents unknown short stories of the past, the present and the future of fascism and its relation to the economic interests of each era. It travels from Mussolini's Italy to Greece under the Nazi occupation, the civil war and the dictatorship; and from Hitler's Germany to the modern European and Greek fascism. The film is presented in Greek with English subtitles.
All are welcome. Films are followed by an optional discussion. Screenings are free but donations welcome. Conserver House location is wheelchair accessible but the washrooms are up the stairs. This is Cinema Politica Fredericton's 10th season!

HOME MADE VISIBLE CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
My name's Elizabeth and I'm Special Projectors Coordinator at Regent Park Film Festival in Toronto, ON. I'm getting in touch because we have an exciting new initiative called Home Made Visible and a call out for Indigenous filmmakers and filmmakers of colour we thought the New Brunswick Filmmakers' Co-operative would be interested in helping promote.

Home Made Visible is an archival project of the Regent Park Film Festival now seeking proposals from emerging to mid-career Indigenous media artists and media artists of colour across Canada. Home Made Visible will commission six short media works (5-10 minutes) that engage with personal or institutional archives.

FROM OUR DARK SIDE
Our From Our Dark Side National Genre Concept Competition, supported by Telus, Super Chanel, Creative BC, & Telefilm, and in partnership with Raven Banner, Frontières International Co-Production Market, & XYZ films is currently accepting submissions until January 5th, 2018. Submissions consist of 3-5 page concepts in English, written by women who live in Canada. Five winners will be selected from across the country to participate in a 6-month incubator program with mentorship from leaders in Canada's genre film industry that will take their screenplay to the next level.
This years winners had the invaluable opportunity to pitch their projects at a brand new Directed By Women pitch session at the 2017 Frontières International Co-Production Market.
