DULLI (M, early/mid 20s) Down to earth, small town New Brunswicker, describes everyone as from “up the road”. He’s had the same friends his whole life. Resourceful, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and well liked by all.
OLMSTEAD (M/F, 50+) Lawyer. Alert, serious, and as sentimental as they are paranoid.
SCOUT (M, 30s) Botanist. Isn’t shy about his feelings or concerned with tact. Communication is transactional, and brevity is key.
LENI (F, 20s) Dulli’s girlfriend. Mild-mannered, loves to host friends, a little shy around new people.
NURSE OWENS (M/F, 30s+) A fairly no-nonsense person, but rather naïve about their employers actions.
MIKHAIL (M, 18-22) Outgoing and outspoken bio major, jovial plant snob.
BARIA (F, 18-22) Level headed bio student, Mon-Fri. Sat-Sun? The books are closed.
INTERVIEWER (M, 30+) Confident and condescending, but would be offended if you pointed out the latter. (Primarily an off-screen role, but sets the tone for the film in the opening scene).

Roles:
Lead: The Husband: early to mid 30s.
Well-dressed suit and tie guy. Entitled. Entertainer. Storyteller. Life of the party in a boastful, charming way which conceals being manipulative and menacing. Sociopathic mind with a kind-hearted face. Blames everything in life on others. Nothing is his fault.
Supporting:
The Woman: 30s.
Angry, confused, isolated, determined. Feels detached, disassociated, sees the day unfold as though through a dream, or nightmare. The film is told through her eyes.
The Mother:60s
Severe. Opinionated to the extreme. Unhappy. Mean. Ruthless. Sociopathic. Narcissistic. Vain. Overly made up. Dresses like she has millions to spend. Braggart. A victim in her mind. Revengeful.

Kind hearted. Educated. Worldly. Empathetic and sympathetic. Firm. A leader who leads with compassion and inclusion and not by instilling fear.

The Brother: mid 30s
