Filmmaking Panel at the Animaritime Convention on Saturday

Are you a gamer, a cos-player or someone interested in films in general?
NB Film Co-op present and, past presidents, Britany Sparrow and Donovan Richard will be hosting a Fantasy Filmmaking panel at the Animaritime convention weekend in Fredericton on Saturday (tomorrow) from 1pm to 3pm.
Animaritime is an Anime and Gaming convention held in Fredericton, NB, Canada. Created and staffed by the talented volunteers, this convention is one of the first of it's kind in the Maritimes. If you are interested in finding out more, please visit: http://www.animaritime.weebly.com

Brief Description:
We can help guide you to create your own film projects and provide you with as much information we can. We will give you our contact information, show you some of the shorts created at the NB Film Co-op and, tell you some of our stories and experiences.
The rest up to you!
We can provide you with the knowledge you seek, whether it's taking our film workshops in one of our major cities in NB, or you can gain a network of fellow newbie filmmakers and experienced filmmakers who can show you the ropes. We can also help guide you in participating on other film projects to gain very valuable film experiences that can only be learned once you are on set.

CLASSIC FILMS IN THE PARK
Join our community for a romantic movie night under the stars. Watch classic films with stars like Bogie & Bacall outdoors on the silver screen! Sunday nights at dusk (approximately 9pm) - July-September annually - Officer's Square. Refreshments available on site for a cost.
The Film Co-op is a long-time sponsor and supporter of this great annual event.

TOGETHER WE MOVE CREW CALL
Calling all expressive humans!
Rebel Femme Productions is currently looking for a Sound Recordist for their crew team.
This film can help you fulfil your required volunteer hours at the NB Film Co-op if you work on it. Members touching gear must have training and be in good standing to handle Film Co-op gear. Please let us know if you need help with this requirement.
We will be shooting this film in the Fredericton area on the weekends of July 12-14 and July 19-21

Creation Accelerator: Now open for applications!
The Creation Accelerator: Phase 1
Deadline: October 16, 2019
Do you have a great idea or story for a digital creation project? The Canada Council for the Arts and CBC/Radio-Canada want to help you develop, create and distribute it through the Creation Accelerator.
How the Creation Accelerator works
The initiative has two phases:
Phase 1: Development
Up to 20 applicants will be selected to receive a project grant to work with an independent producer to develop an original concept for consideration in Phase 2.
Phase 2: Production
Up to 10 projects from Phase 1 will be selected for further support towards the full creation and production of the original project for potential distribution on CBC/Radio-Canada’s platforms.
Applications are now open for
Phase 1 only
Grant amount for Phase 1
Up to $50 000 for direct costs related to the activity.
Who can apply?
Artists, curators, and writers
New and early career artists
Artistic groups and collectives
Artistic organizations
You will need a validated profile on the Canada Council grant application portal.
