Workshop Description:

(Elective Workshop)

So, you want to make a movie, but don’t know how to get started? This interactive session will introduce you to how one NB filmmaker jumped in with both feet and began making short films. Topics covered will be his approach to film, scale and scope of projects, film length, planning and execution.

Instructor's Biography:
Larry Collicott is from Fredericton NB and has been making films since 2011, but it wasn’t until he discovered the Fredericton 48 Hour Film Competition in 2014 that his film hobby became something more. Larry is a prolific creator having made 9 short films and worked on 2 others just in 2019 and while the COVID-19 situation in 2020 has derailed some of his larger projects he has still made 3 short films - all socially distant of course. His award winning films “WRETCH” and “the seeds we sow” are currently making their festival circuit and he looks forward to picking up production on “Chrissy” and “Wings On Fire” when the pandemic eventually ends.
