Workshop Description: 

This 4 hour session is perfect for songwriters/singers/musicians and filmmakers!

Tim Hardy will lead a discussion on Copyright and Royalties and how it relates to the Film Industry (Filmmakers, Composers, Artists, etc.). Topics will include the basics of copyright, Cue Sheets, Synchronization/Master Use royalties for Film, TV & Ad placements, what's a Music Publisher & what's a Music Supervisor? Additional topics will include;

Instructor's Biography: 
Tim Hardy is the co-owner of Sound of Pop, an ECMA award-winning music publishing & master/sync representation company, operates an independent rights management / music consulting company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Aspenway Music) and previously worked with SOCAN for over 22 years.
