Workshop Description: 

(Required workshop for members who want to use the Film Co-op HD and Lighting equipment and those who want to do their own projects through the Film Co-op.)

This workshop is designed for media artists and filmmakers who would like to explore camera techniques in their independent projects.

The Co-op's 4K camera will be explored in a hands on setting structure.

Instructor's Biography: 
Matt Carr is a graduate of the Digital Filmmaking program at daVinci College and is an experienced creative editor and camera person comfortable in both the independent and commercial film and television sector. Matt has helped out on multiple productions since graduating. Matt recently won an Excellence in Editing award at the 2017 Silver Wave Film Festival for Tracey Lavigne’s debut short film, Glitter. Ashley Phinney is a filmmaker with a passion for cinematography. She has a degree in Media Arts and Cultures (Film Production) from the University of New Brunswick, is an active Film Co-op member and has been volunteering her time in the provincial film community for the past few years.  Ashley has been involved in outreach projects promoting film and education in the community including the 'What’s Up Doc?’ and 'Heritage Fair’ programs. Ashley was the volunteer lead for HR on the annual Silver Wave Film Festival and assisted with marketing and promotion for the event. Ashley was nominated for Excellence in Cinematography in a NB Short Film for her work on Tracey Lavigne’s award-winning short “Glitter” in 2017.
