Workshop Description: 

(Film Co-op Members are recommended to take at least one lighting course before they direct/produce their own projects through the Film Co-op)

This workshop will cover lighting for short video projects in detail in a fully hands on environment with the goal being to enable you to bring creative and innovative lighting to your creative stories.

Instructor's Biography: 
Lance Kenneth Blakney is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He works as a digital marketing specialist for the University of New Brunswick. With a variety of experiences on many different types of productions, his lighting styles range from realist to experimental and natural to artificial. His passion for cinema and still imagery, in combination with his honours degree in Media Arts and Cultures, facilitates the creation of beautiful visuals that can also exist within a social and political context. Solo gallery shows, guest lectures, workshops, and numerous international publications have given him a presence within the artistic community both locally and abroad.
