Workshop Description: 

(Elective Workshop)

Participants in this workshop will learn about some of the basics of your role on set, tips to avoid unwanted noises, and the gear that you would use on location. We will quickly do an overview of the specific gear that the Coop has and talk about setups for various scenarios. Supplementary video material will be provided as well for those keen on full details about the gear.

Instructor's Biography: 
Rob graduated from the Centre for Arts and Technology from the Recording Arts Foundation program in 2004. He then completed his B.A. degree in History with a Film Certificate at U.N.B in 2008. A Film Co-op member since 2006, Rob has worked as location sound recorder/mixer and sound editor on projects such as Brenda Malley’s “After the War”, and Britany Sparrow's "Friend Zone" as well as other projects. Rob also works as a Sound and Moving Images and Digital Archivist for the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, and in the past worked as a freelancer Boom Op/Recorder for Raynemaker Productions and other independent filmmakers.
