Workshop Description: 

An intro workshop for anyone interested in doing effective sound recording on films and videos.
Participants will learn about location sound, and the troubles and tribulations that go along with trying to have perfect audio in the midst of whirling fans, beeps and bumps. Production sound techniques will be discussed as well.

Instructor's Biography: 
Eric Braun is an indie filmmaker living in Saint John who got his creative start in audio production as a musician studying broadcasting at Loyalist College. His education includes Radio Broadcasting specializing in Announcing and Production, well as Graphic Arts. Eric has worked in print and digital media for fifteen years (sound and graphics) but his passion for film production predates both and he began his journey home in 2015 with the short comedy film “Out in the Yard”. Eric's recent work experience includes location sound on the 2018 feature film release “Pogey Beach”, from the creators and producers of the Canadian series “Just Passing Through”, where he got his first set gig as a PA and Utility Sound Technician. Eric enjoys picture editing and sound mixing, and currently operates Parapony Picture Shows.
