Workshop Description:

(Film Co-op Members are required to take this workshop before they direct/produce their own projects through the Film Co-op)

This workshop will provide an inside look at what it takes to manage a production office from pre-prep straight through to post. Focusing on the Production Manager and Production Coordinator roles, this course will review how numbers are a big part of the job, but equally so is hiring a team, collaborating with a crew, breaking down a script, searching for those "red flags" and of course budgeting, cost reporting & money management. Bring your stories and ideas (big and small) to this workshop! The best way to learn is talking through real world experiences and problem solving together. The seasoned instructor will provide lots of hands-on examples and templates so that the participants can leave the workshop with the tools needed to take that next step towards producing their creative visions.
