Covid has brought me back to Fredericton, where I grew up, and after being involved with a great project already with the Film Co-op, I'm looking forward to more.

Maria Nazareth Araújo

From Recife, Brazil, Maria Nazareth Araújo is a third year student at the University of New Brunswick in the Media Arts and Cultures programme, with concentration in film production. Although always a film admirer, Nazareth’s passion for film escalated during her first year of university after taking a Digital Film Prodution course.

Kristy has been a NB Film Co-op Member since 2017. Received her BA in Media Arts and Culture with Concentration in Film in 2015. Has volunteer work experience as a Camera Assistant, DOP and After Effects creator. March 2.0, Social Proof and Zombies vs. Cannibals are a few films to name she was involved with in the past 2 years. Currently studying Video Production/3D Modelling at NBCCD.

Ashley Phinney

Ashley is a filmmaker with a passion for cinematography. She has a degree in Media Arts and Cultures (Film Production) from the University of New Brunswick, is an active Film Co-op member and has been volunteering and working in the provincial film community for the past few years. Ashley has been involved in outreach projects promoting film and education in the community including the 'Cyber Violence Research Project,' 'What’s Up Doc?’ and 'Young Citizens’ programs.

Jeff Picka

Bio: 

I have been working with the Film Co-op since 2005, mostly doing stills but also being a camera assistant and doing other general assisting. I have been a film fan since being traumatized by the Manchurian Candidate at the age of 2, and have been photo editor at a UofT student newspaper and a programmer & projectionist at a University of Chicago rep cinema.

Jesse Anthony

Bio: 

Jesse has worked as a cinematographer more than 10 years. He studied at the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport Maine, where he was trained by Academy award-winning cinematographer Walter Lasally. Since then he has been working on a variety of Films and Commercials of all scopes. Jesse won awards for editing(2014) and cinematography(2019) at the Silver Wave Film Festival.
