Colin A. Smart

Bio: Colin A. Smart hails from the community of Mount Hope just outside Fredericton NB.

He is an Executive Producer, Producer, Writer, Director, Production Manager, Unit Production Manager, Third Assistant Director, Actor, Casting Director, Acting Coach and Film Mentor with well over eighteen years in the New Brunswick independent film and video production industry.

He has made two of his own films The Man In The Hollow (2000) and Temple Of The Sapphire Moon (2007) and has worked on several others including the feature film: They Didn't Make It (2006) and the short films: The Adventures Of Captain Awesome (2007), The Perfect Cliche (2007), The Morning After (2009), Francis Sherman (2009), Earwigs (2010), The Dollmaker (2011), Gamers: a love Story (2011), The Audition Process (2013).

He helped develop, set up and lead The NB Film Co-op Actors Helping Actors Group as well as serving on the New Brunswick Filmmakers' Co-operative Board of Directors for a number of years. He has also worked on many of the Film Co-op committees and advisory groups and helped out with The Monday Night Film Series, Silver Wave Film Festival and Under The Stars.

He was a recipient of the Silver Wave Volunteer Recognition Award in 2011 and he continues to support and encourage filmmakers, actors and writers in the New Brunswick film and video production industry.
