Workshop Description

In this introductory workshop, emerging voice actor Dale Strickland provides a high-level overview of the key information an aspiring voice actor needs to know to get their start in the industry. This workshop is designed for anyone who has been curious about voice acting and wants to get some guidance on where to start, learn about the state of the industry, and get a head start on the ongoing research needed to sustain a voice-over career.

Instructor’s Biography:

Dale Strickland is a voice actor from New Brunswick. He has lent his voice to a few projects with New Brunswick's Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and he will be one of many voices in the audiobook for Shifting Trust by Madona Skaff-Koren. In 2021 Dale received the Jane LeBlanc Acting Support Award, which provided him with the kickstart he needed to elevate his voice acting skills with formal voice-over coaching sessions. Since then Dale has been focused on taking on additional training, building a home studio, and developing his first set of demos.
