Workshop Description:

We've all been there, you want to learn how to edit, but when you open up your editing program you just get overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Caitlin wants to help you get past that hurdle. In this workshop she'll cover the basics of what you need to know to start editing. She'll explain what an editor does, common problems and how to troubleshoot them. Common terminology from frame rates to aspect ratios to LUTS, by the end of this workshop you'll know what you're talking about when it comes to editing. Paired with this workshop will be a series of videos working with Premiere Pro, designed for you to follow along and learn at your own pace post workshop.

Instructor’s Biography:

Caitlin is a filmmaker and works as a video editor. She loves storytelling, Stanley Kubrick, and Coen Brothers films. A long time Co-op member and more recently a member of the Board, she is passionate about making NB film an inclusive and accessible space for people of all experience levels.
