John Young’s 2021 Jane LeBlanc Filmmaker film, Water Into Wine

 

The NB Film Co-op and Jane LeBlanc Legacy Fund proudly announce the JL Filmmaker Award for 2024 in honour of Jane LeBlanc, who lived life to the fullest and courageously took action in making her dreams a reality. A message that will hopefully inspire the winner of this award in realizing their dream of making films a reality.

The JL Filmmaker Award is now valued at $3,280 (for emerging resident filmmakers). The Winner is announced at the 2024 Silver Wave Film Festival on November.

• $200 value in workshops/training from the NBFC (2025)

• $1000 cash from The LeBlanc Family and generous donations

• $1500 in equipment and post services from NBFC (at staff’s discretion)

• $80 (full membership for two years) from the NBFC

• $500 in-kind value (workshopping of screenplay with professional screenwriter)

Submit a 5-7 page (longer scripts will be disqualified) properly formatted script, treatment, or project description for (video poem, experimental, genre, drama or comedy) along with a small budget, bio, and short paragraph talking about your hopes and dreams; what the project means to you and why the grant is important for you to apply to by September 30, 2024, midnight to info@nbfilmcoop.com
